What the client came with

The Garage Museum of Contemporary Art came with the task of helping people with mental disabilities prepare for a trip to the museum. It was necessary to make them feel safe in unfamiliar spaces. The task was complicated by the lack of information and methodologies for working with such people.

What we did

We sat down with experts and educators, we interviewed parents, and found a way to evaluate the state of kids with mental disabilities. We found a way to properly deliver information and prepare children for a trip to the museum. The interface of the app may seem strange to most people, but it works great for our audience.

Results

A decision was made to release the app online, where the main participants of the project explained why this project is important for the development of museum life.

At the start of the project, we realized that there were very few reliable methods and information on how to create apps for children with mental disabilities. The solution was an open table at the Garage Museum conference with international experts in the field.
